Your files stay in your browser; the website still uses third-party services

KeepFile's file tools process selected files in your browser. Visiting the website also involves its hosting provider and, where enabled, analytics and advertising providers. This policy describes those separate activities.

Files you choose in a tool

The tools read selected files into your browser's memory and perform their advertised operation in the page. The file contents are not uploaded to a KeepFile file-processing server. Results are created in the browser and downloaded to your device. Closing the page releases the page's in-memory working data. Your browser or operating system may retain files you save, according to your own settings.

Local processing depends on the specific tool and the browser APIs it uses. Tool pages identify important format and quality limitations. Keep a separate copy of important source files and check each output before using it.

Website hosting and requests

KeepFile is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like other websites, requests for pages and assets are handled by the hosting network. The site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts and includes Cloudflare Web Analytics. These services receive ordinary network request information needed to deliver or measure the site; consult their providers' privacy materials for details about their processing and retention.

Advertising

KeepFile includes Google AdSense code. If ads are enabled and the site is approved, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and personalize ads, subject to your location, consent choices, and Google's settings. Ad requests are separate from the local file-processing workflow; KeepFile does not send the selected file contents to Google as part of a tool operation.

Browser storage and preferences

KeepFile stores your light or dark theme choice in browser local storage so it can be remembered on your next visit. The file tools do not use a KeepFile account or server-side file storage. Third-party services may use their own storage technologies under their own policies.

Children and changes

KeepFile is a general-purpose utility website and is not designed to collect personal information from children. This policy may be updated if the site or its service providers change; the date at the top indicates the latest revision.
